Memaw Cas – thanks for your question! I baked the cake in a regular cake pan, and then used the top of the tea cup as a guide for how big of a circle piece to cut out of the cake to place in the cup. Then I frosted once it was in the tea cup. I hope that made sense! It was really easy! The leftover cake looks a little weird with a big circle missing, but I just cut the rest up into bite size brownie sizes and frosted them for people to enjoy! Hope you try it with your favorite serving piece!

    I absolutely LOVED this!
I’m having my baby shower soon and sent this out as inspiration for my baby shower decor to my mom and friends :]

I wanted to ask you a question though, where did you get your glass dispensers for the lemonade, if you don’t mind sharing.

Joanna – thanks! I love that it inspired you. And what’s so great is that all the elements were easy to create and low cost! I’d LOVE to see pics of your baby shower after so please send them my way!

The glass dispensers are from Crate & Barrel. The greener one (on the right in the photo) is an older one – from a couple of years ago, and the left one I picked up this season (here’s the link: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=370&f=37455). One comment though about the newer one, the spicket is weird. You have to turn it several times before the drink will dispense, definitely not my favorite (and the lid doesn’t stay on tightly, which I found out when I broke one in the store when I picked it up! oops!).
I know other stores sell similar things – Target had one I saw this summer, and Sur La Table has a nice one as well. Might be worth checking other ones too.

Good luck! I hope your mom and friends throw you a fabulous baby shower – and – CONGRATULATIONS on your baby! :)
